1954/1955 : Practical Training in Alex Stephens Shipyard Glasgow, B&W Diesel, Copenhagen and onboard cargo ships.
1955/1958 : Hellenic Navy National Service as Surveyor in the Greek Ministry of Merchant Marine.
1958/1970 : Exclusive Surveyor with Lloyd?s Register of Shipping in Glasgow, London then Piraeus. Main responsibilities included classification work, plan and design approval, passenger-ship safety surveys and industrial division work.
1970/present : Principal in Marine Technical Consultancy & Design, a firm established in 1945 by his father, Alexander. Company carries out design work, newbuilding supervision, surveys in Greece and abroad, conversions, re-enginings, accident and damage investigation and acts as consultant for owners and underwriters. Expertise on ship/crew safety, human relations as applied in shipping, ship casualties and vessel traffic analysis and control systems. Many articles on Naval Architecture and Shipping, the book ?Remembrances of a Century 1900-2000?. Saved historical documents on DVD ?Electronic Naval Architecture Collection 1920 ? 2010?
