1981/1997 : Superintendent Engineer with Ocean Shipping, London then with Samos Steamship, Piraeus.
1997/2008 : Technical Manager with Aran Shipping, Piraeus, Navitas and Eurocarriers, Athens. Over his 30 years in Shipping, he was involved with Surveys, Repairs, Drydocking and Condition Surveys of Bulkers, Chemical and Product Tankers, with Conversions and Newbuilding projects in Europe and Far East, with Insurance and Damage and with Safety Management and Auditing.
2008/present : Partner and Principal Surveyor of Zachopoulos & Associates, Piraeus.
